Co-President - Danit Schwartz

 

Hi, I'm Danit! My family and I moved to Closter from Maywood NJ in 2016. We have five children (two at Tenakill middle school and three at Hillside). I'm beginning my second year as PTO President, prior to that I served as the PTO’s CO VP of Fundraising and chaired number of committees including the Book Fair, the Holiday Boutique, Fall Social and lunch. I'm very excited for this opportunity to give back to our school, teachers and students and help contribute to our community. Looking forward to meeting old and new families in our community and for a fun productive year.
 

 

 

Co-President & Co-VP Hospitality/Class Parents- Jeanette Lee 

Jeanette Lee first got involved with the PTO by volunteering for lunch and the many programs the PTO runs. She enjoys serving the school community and meeting all the wonderful parents here in Closter. She has 2 children in Tenakill and 1 in Hillside. She is excited to start another great year at Closter Schools!  

 

 

 

 

Co-VP Communications - Bansri Desai

 

I joined the PTO during the 2022-2023 school year as my daughter was starting her first year at HES.  Alongside working a full-time job in tech, I wanted to be a part of my child's education journey, and joining the PTO board has allowed me to do so!  Having a background in technology has allowed me to use my expertise to improve the way the PTO board communicates with our parents and teachers.  Outside of giving back to our schools and my career, I enjoy interior decorating, web designing, red wines, worldly cuisines, music, and traveling with my family!  I am excited to be serving another year on the board and look forward to another successful school year!

 

  

 

 

 

Co-VP Communications - Bruna Spoto

 

Hello, I'm Bruna! I moved to Closter with my husband and two kids in 2021. My son is entering 2nd grade, and my daughter will be attending Hillside in the fall of 2024. As a dedicated parent, I believe in the power of community involvement to create a positive and enriching school environment. I began volunteering for the PTO in 2021 and joined the board in 2022. I am excited to begin my second term as Co-VP of communications and look forward to contributing my skills to support our students, teachers, and parents. Outside of my PTO involvement and my full-time job in finance, I also run my own small business creating personalized gifts. I enjoy watching movies, baking, charcuterie boards, and spending time with my family. Looking forward to another amazing school year! 

 

 

 

 

Public Relations - Angela Ferullo

 

The Ferullo family resides in Closter NJ since 2015 and their youngest daughter is going into the 8th Grade in the Closter school system. Angela moved to Closter and quickly joined the PTO as Vice President of Student Activities. The infusion of additional arts, theater programs and fun-filled activities for the community’s children has been her pride and joy. She then took on the role as to Co-President for a two year term aiding in establishing added safety measures and necessities for our schools. She now serves as Public Relations liaison to the Schools, Town and Recreation Commission. Angela is also a member of the Closter Coaches Association and is a Certified Member of The Closter Planning Board.

   Co-VP Fundraising - Noa Raab

 

In 2016, Noa and her family relocated from Israel to Closter. At that time, my daughter joined Hillside for second grade, where she received wonderful support in learning English as a second language. Fast forward to the present, my youngest child is now in fourth grade, and my two other children are in high school. Over the past three years, I've been an active volunteer, serving as a class mom, lunchtime volunteer, and more, contributing my time and effort to the school community. This year, I'm thrilled to take on a new role as the Co-chair VP of Fundraising alongside Avisag Ravid. I am genuinely excited to be a part of the Closter board and eager to contribute to the school's success this year!

 

  

Co-VP Hospitality & Class Parents- Liz Fanelli

 

Hi my name is Liz Fanelli, and I am a mom to three boys, one in 7th and one in 5th grade at Tenakill and one who will begin at Hillside in 2024. I began working with the PTO in 2016 when my oldest was in kindergarten as a lunch volunteer. Working with the lunch program was a wonderful way to get involved with the PTO and meet school staff and members of the administration. I joined the PTO as a Board member in 2019 as a Co-VP of student activities and am now in my second term as the Co-VP of Hospitality and Head Class Parent. I am am proud serve our students, their families and our schools as a member of the PTO!

 

 

Co-VP Lunch- Monica Jethani

 

I’m a proud, dedicated and sleep-deprived mom of three young children who remind me daily of the precious joys of parenthood and also the inevitable challenges. While I value all the resources our schools offer, I do believe it's the communal experiences, shared respect and unwavering commitment to our children's growth that truly make this community special. I have been a volunteer with the Closter PTO since 2018 and I am honored to continue to serve our school community as a PTO Board Member. As an Immigration Attorney by profession, it is my life’s work and privilege to advocate for diverse voices. Now it is also my passion to foster that same inclusivity within our school community. I'm eager to contribute both my professional perspective and personal dedication to our PTO and embrace the opportunity to join hands to foster a nurturing and vibrant environment for all of our students and families.

My name is Natalia and we moved to Closter in 2021 with our son, who is now in Tenakill Middle School. I really like the area and am so happy to be a part of the Closter community. I am passionate about education and believe that the PTO plays an important role in supporting our schools. I am excited to get involved and am looking forward to a great year!

 

 

Co-Treasurer - Libby Choron

 

Libby Choron has been a CLO PTO board member since September 2020. She served as a CO-VP Lunch in the past three years and is now serving as a PTO treasurer. Libby has three children, with the oldest starting TMS and two younger children in HES. In her professional life, Libby is an acupuncturist. Libby is very dedicated to her family, to the Closter community, and to her full-time job.

Hi! My name is Erica Grindley and I am a SAHM of twin 10 year olds entering 5th grade this fall. I am happy to be a member of the Closter PTO and am the current Secretary for the board.
